Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a speech sound disorder. It causes a child’s speech to be difficult to understand. They have difficulty producing speech sounds and blending sounds together to make words. A Speech-Language Pathologist assesses a child’s ability to say different sounds, examines how your child moves their mouth.
