Frequently Asked Questions?

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It focuses on understanding how behavior works and how learning happens. Through positive reinforcement, ABA helps teach new skills, improve communication, and reduce challenging behaviors.

  • ABA is most commonly used with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but it can benefit individuals with developmental delays, ADHD, anxiety, and other behavioral challenges.

ABA programs are personalized for each individual. A qualified Behavior Therapist works one-on-one with the child to build skills in areas such as:

  • Communication
  • Social skills
  • Daily living skills
  • Play skills
  • Emotional regulation
  • Reducing challenging behaviors

Progress is tracked consistently through data collection and goal setting.

Every child is different. Therapy may range from a few hours per week to full-time (6 -20 hours/week), depending on the child’s needs and goals. Consistency and early intervention often lead to the best results.

ABA often supports communication development, including:

  • Requesting needs
  • Expanding vocabulary
  • Learning social language

We work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) when needed.

Yes! Modern ABA is child-led, engaging, and fun. Play is often used as a teaching tool to

help children learn naturally within their environment.

Parent involvement is essential. We provide parent training, coaching, and regular updates so skills learned in therapy can be applied at home and in the community.

The goal is simple — to empower children to be independent, confident, and successful in their everyday lives.
